Businesses in general do not like org.uk's (yet). Only the really switched on companies that have a savvy IT guy/department/web designer know the real potential of them.
Give it time. It will change. Lets say it takes another 6 years. That's only £21 in reg fees.
I've said before on here that some of the "old school" domainers wouldn't even p*ss on an org.uk. They are wrong. The recent sales thread where 7 were sold for £1K to other domainers says different.
The most switched on IT people ARE domainers. Most now realise the potential of the org.uk. Business will follow but it will take time.
I built a site for a customer last December. It is based on a org.uk and has the exact keyword for his trade. It went straight in at no3 on google.com (and stayed there) and has made him over £40K in the last 7 months. It instantly beat sites that have been up there for 5yrs+
I built a site for my brother 2yrs ago for a car storage business he was starting. We went with the org.uk and it jumped in at no1 and has stayed there. 6 months later he decided he would offer caraven storage and it also jumped straight in at no1. He now has too much business. He is knocking back customers.
In development terms, org.uk's are the new co.uk's.
