Can anyone shed any light on this -

A couple of days ago I regisitered a .org domain with heartinternet. I want to host the website on my eUKHost server, hence, I changed the nameservers to the appropriate eUKHost nameservers.

I've done this a few times already successully with .com .net domains - the domain name normally resolves very quickly.

However, 2 days later the .org domain still isn't resolving.

I've spent ages today speaking to tech-support of both heartinternet & eUKHost. The last word i got was this from eUKHost support:

You will have to contact the domain registrar of the .org domain and opt for private Name-servers with .org registry.

.....eh!

Can anyone help with this?

It can take 72 hours to propogate around the internet. Try viewing the site through a proxy server and see if it's resolving corectly, if it is then you'll have to wait. You could also try clearing your dns cache in windows.

I don't mind checking into it for you...

What's the domain?

the problem was that eUKhost didn't have their nameservers registered with .org registrar

now that that's been fixed, the domain is resolving to my server at eUKhost :)

thanks to poshtiger for the pms
