Ive done it again. Reg a domain, put a quick site up, 2 mins later my email to interested parties snares a buyer.

I sent the email expecting nothing back and I fully intended just to let my mini-site bob around on Google picking up a few quid. However someone out there liked my price and the sale is all but agreed.

However, have I sold myself short? The sale will go through, im a man of my word, however how much would you value

lock smiths associtation .co uk (all 1 word) at?

I will give you my sale price in 1 hour from now.

Im pleased because my flippant off the cuff email that led to the sale didnt involve my usual trick of giving a domain away for peanuts.

Compared with your valuations, im happy.

golddiggerguy - you sig will appear after 25 posts.

nice templated site. Where did you source the template & content from?

£450 for a typo not bad !:D

I've never tried the email approach, do you mean you emailed lots of lock smiths? or you just emailed to a list of previous purchasers?

If the former then I really must try that, does anyone else do that?
I guess you need to be careful with trademarks/branding DRS etc. when doing that?

Ha, thats not a typo, thats me being fat fingered :)

I emailed the top 5 listings for 'lock smith' in Google and so far 3 have expressed an interest and bidding is now ongoing.

I would do this will all domains I own, for the sake of a 5 min email you might strike it lucky, although for any TM issues, I will let them come to me.

Spamming?

Do you ever get complaints with sending emails out to companies or people about domain names you've bagged trying to get them interested?
