Hi everyone

Some time ago I launched http://www.zolp.net/ but following quite a few code issues and IE based problems I had to get in some help. I hope I have fixed many of the issues and got the api working, your feedback and a few people using zolp would really help. Before I creat another version on a shorter domain name.

Many Thanks everyone.

Woo! Will put it through its paces at some point ;)

Oh btw, write the output urls without the www. - Nasty extra 4 characters

Oh and what about copy on click on the url?

http://www.weberdev.com/get_example-3721.html ?

Edit:

Oh and your 'credit' link at the bottom points to: http://www.dotdevelopments.comt/

Oops ;)

Thanks Ashton

Really appreciate the feedback. I looked at the custom copy element, but decided against it on this version.

Thanks for the tip on credit link, cant believe I didn't spot that, doh.

Being really picky now, but could you put some "onfocus" on the "Shorten" button to change the cursor? I just feel that the button isn't live when the cursor doesn't change.

I think you mean button:hover{cursor:pointer;} ? :D

But yes, good point :D

I'd integrate the adsense colors a little better, some say if they stand out they will get clicked more, but I think if you match the sites background they look more like part of the site.

Nice site though :)

Thanks Aaron, I will change the colours, good point.

well the front page is a little sparse. look at what bit.ly does with their front page. consider having the site more colorful, and not the background color. your terms of use page obviously has lists so give them bullets or numbers to make more user readable. consider changing the font size or bold to break up the monotony of the long read.

Not sure if this was a fluke, but the first time I hit the site I had a MySQL 'Couldn't connect...' error. Can't get it to come back up now though.

Your CAPTCHA on the register page is pretty straight forward to circumvent with a bot, although it would have to be custom written for your site - I'd consider changing the names of the images that you have to select.

The active area of the main shortener input box is too small, it took me a couple of clicks to get the cursor blinking in there. There's a massive gap to the right before the button and the vertical padding is a bit too much.
