Agreed on that one, can think of plenty of companies using just an 'S' for their logo off the top of my head (Suzuki, Seat, Sketchers to name a few).

Can imagine a lot of effort must have gone into getting them, and will be interesting to see how much they sell for too.

These short domains are GREAT for the .co.uk extension - hope they get used by the big brands.

Agree with that Jon. Most of those listed seem to have ended up with the right end users, which has got to be a good thing. Much better than the .de two-letter fiasco – most of those are still owned by domain investors.

I bet a few people are gutted by the allocation. Most seem pretty fair but god knows about others.

Well done to those who got them though, good result.

No one person really :D, but when you see the outcome of every big thing I'm guessing everyone wished they had taken part.

I didn't mean the actual allocation of a particular domain.

When I saw a forum members name, I felt like I had got it lol

Thats some canny shrewdness being displayed right there Scott, well done mate.

Now tell me, when is it exactly that you're gonna be selling these rugs and carpets?? :D

Kudos to Scott for all the graft and foresight. A man who knows his game.

Yes, makes you wonder if any others tried the same approach, but have been caught up in the contested/multiple registrant process. More likely for 'word' ones I would think. There was a gambling element to it, so well done Scott.

S was TM'd back in 1947, I take he bought a vintage company ?

This is the sought of thing I would think of but not try :(

Good on you mate, correct me if I am wrong but you can't sell a single letter UK domain can you ?

You can still sell 1/2 character domains however, before nominet started to release them the domains already registered couldn't be re-registered if they dropped. I assume this will now change when they release the catalogue.
