Ok, I had sold this previously on ebay but the buyer did not go through with the deal so here it is for sale again.

Have had offers previously from members on here ( so have a good idea of its value ) but had to go through ( or not as the case maybe !) with the ebay auction.

Anyway now need to shift it on so please make offers if interested.

Regards

christ I hope this goes for decent price, much better than the tat we've had recently :p

good luck pflowers ;)

It will be interesting to see where this ends up :)

I was the second highest bidder in the original auction however no second choice offer was made via that, likewise the none paying top bidder (wrxio) has not been left negative feedback.

Old ebay auction is http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Domain-name-r...03QQihZ012QQcategoryZ3767QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

There was another interested party from Acorn that I was aware of - who I contacted earlier yesterday who has mentioned they are not keen on paying over the odds.

I emailed the seller offering a mid point between the next highest 'real' bid and my top bid which I believe was acknowledged at 16:35 , so odd to see 8:30pm the highest confirmed offer was just £1k :)

Hopefully this has found a good home and a transaction is completed this time - and the buyer has not been told of higher competiting bids :)

What really happened !

Lets set the record straight, after several weeks the original winner on ebay did not go ahead with the transaction for reasons only known to them. I did not bother leaving negative feedback as they would only do the same to me spoiling my 100% record. After such a time I thought it rude to then offer second chance offers.

Rob, you didnt make a firm offer , you just gave a ballpark figure that when I contacted you to verify did not confirm and told me to watch how ebay went. So at 8.30 the best confirmed offer was £1000.

The other party who was interested first time round was contacted first but said they were not interested, they then started bidding on ebay ??

Anyway, I have sold the domain to a third party ( not through acorn ) at a figure I am happy with. The domain probably was worth more, but as I only paid £49 for it eight years ago and had a good return from the website it was connected to, I am more than happy.

Regards

Peter

That is why the ebay system has the comments section - non-paying buyer is quite an obvious thing, likewise £1700 is not really petty cash. I suppose its yet another example on why ebay can be iffy :(

My apologies - I assumed you realised it was an offer as you said " Are you willing to up your offer from £1500 ?" in reply :)

Good stuff and good that a sale was (finally) sorted :)

Peter congratulations on the sale of row.co.uk, look forward to seeing the whois change over the coming weeks.

I like Rob was surprised that you left no negative feedback as the buyer had parked the domain with Sedo and was pocketing the parking revenue as well as fielding offers on what was still your domain!!!

The other party who was interested first time round was contacted first but said they were not interested; they then started bidding on eBay??

I placed an offer on EBay only after you had announced that it was sold on Acorn so that if the new sale fell through I may have a second chance on eBay.
