I mentioned previously that I'd suggested to my daughters school that they put some affiliate ads on the school website and thought they'd binned the idea but I've just been asked to go in and discuss with them.

My main idea was to have an amazon search on the site and then sending notes home with the children asking parents to do any purchase via the site.

Can anyone else suggest any good ideas for the site, including affiliates to sign up with or any good shops/feeds etc... I know buy at do a charity setup.

I even thought just having a page with loads of little logos e.g. John Lewis, Very, Waterstones, Play etc... with affiliate links to the main pages of each site.

Thanks

Hey Stender,

Why ask the parents to do the purchase through the site.

Why not just tell the parents that a list of all the textbooks their son/daughter will require is on the website at *URL*

That way they will naturally browse there and go from there, instead of actively having to take time out to go through the site. It also makes it easier on the parents.

Needless to say, uniform is another one I would look at (Even if they have their own shop)

It's a primary school so they don't have to purchase any books. I thought it good to ask the parents to use it as it would be supporting the school?
I buy enough from amazon etc but can't use my own affiliate account!

Uniform is a good idea.

Asking people to shop in that way will against all T+Cs I would think.

A sudden rush of purchases through your link will probably get you banned.

I'd begin with some recommended URL or a feed, then branch out into other things such as school weekend breaks and stuff.

The opportunity is endless, however if you want it done right either do it yourself or offer a revenue share with someone.

Highly highly doubt that would ever happen. A sudden rush can be from anything.

I've set up hundreds of ppc campaigns which see no sales then suddenly hundreds and never had any questions or being banned.

Also going through you own links isnt right but everyone does it
