I'm trying to search for UK sites that have a certain keyword in them (before the ccTLD)

For example: Find all .co.uk websites that contain "London", I'd want the following:
  • VisitLondon.co.uk
  • LondonRestaurants.co.uk
  • London.co.uk

My trouble is that I got as far as the "site:co.uk inurl:keyword" parameters but this includes mostly results where the keyword is after the .co.uk in the rest of the URL string.

Is there such a thing as searching for a keyword in the domain alone?

You can find all the hyphenated domains that end with "london.co.uk" by using:

inurl:"*london.co.uk"

(You need to use exactly that search query, including the "")

Unfortunately, since Google works on the basis of keywords, it only sees "london" in the domain for searches like the one above when the domain is hyphenated.

Thanks Edwin.

It's a shame because inurl: does what it says, it's a shame there isn't an indomain: parameter.

I guess I'll try the wildcard on both sides of London and see if that works?!

london*.co.uk
*london.co.uk
*london*.co.uk

inurl:"london"and".co.uk"
also gives some results, try it with other combinations
