Why is it when you are logged into google my site appears higher in the results than if im not loggged in?
I go from middle of page 2 to bottom of page one? which is the true reading? and why does it do it/?

Personalise Search Results,Google works on what sites you visit and puts them higher up the results as you found them useful.

Even when you are signed out, Google still performs some degree of personalisation.

To see a better representation of a neutral search (i.e. with minimum personalisation) start private browsing.

In Firefox: Tools ==> Start Private Browsing
In Internet Explorer: Safety ==> InPrivate Browsing

You could also consider using a proxy server with the above.

To save you signing in and out all the time, use a different browser just to check rankings of your sites.

You can add &pws=0 on the end of the search too.
