Hi,

Seeing as there seems to be some great experience on this forum can anyone tell me the relevance, if any of the price sedo give as an estimate on a domain. I did their 3 day appraisal and got an estimate value for a domain of 1500 quid, what would you say it's actual value is or should it really be it's value is what someone will give you and the estimate at the end of the day is irrelevant. I would be over the moon if it's worth is somewhere close but I can't see it.

:-D

My first impression of all these appraisals systems is that you pay them to tell you what you want to hear.:???: Probably better to get the advice from an experienced individual rather than a company with vested interests.

Has any one got experiance of having a domain valued by SEDo then selling to confirm if they pitch high or how accurate they are ?

I've had two done. One was spot on IMHO, the second was way off.

I had a domain which was sedo valued at mid x,xxx yet I sold it (with no effort) for 3 times as much. Even the buyer laughed at the sedo valuation. They compared previous sales for totally irrelevant sites.
