I was just wondering your opinions on Sedo's featured listing to promote your domains. It costs 39EUR but is it worth it in your opinion?

Has anyone noticed a major increase in time your domain took to sell by using this?

Any thoughts welcome!

Thanks...

It will give a name more exposure. But generally I don't think it's worth it, the costs will soon add up. If you have a quality name then apply for top domain listing which is free. If it's not a great quality name then it's pretty much a waste of time. As always it will depend on how realistic you are with your pricing.

Depends on the domains, only useful for quality domains as it does give it more exposure. No point for Medium quality or junk domains.

If it's crap, it'll still be crap no matter how much you promote it.

Thanks for your input guys. I think I'll just try lowering my prices first see if that helps move them...

I wouldn't class a featured listing as a promotion, the visitor would still already be at Sedo's site before he spotted it.

Proper promotion would be to group 10 or 20 domains from people who've paid for the service, then do a PR News Release about them, for example. Anything less is just a waste of money.
