...and he accused me of making a personal attack on him with my comment in the thread and he also DM'd me with comments saying I need to read the rules, I just wanted to say this

"Accelerator you are a *silly man* who hasn't a clue when people are making personal attacks or not, and you don't take take criticism or advice EVEN when you ask for it directly"

THAT is a personal attack, NOT when some asks you a direct question on a forum OR makes a comment stating their opinion.

Just because someone asks you something or doesn't agree with your opinion DOES NOT mean it is a personal attack on you!

If this post also gets deleted then may I suggest that admin permanently deletes my account, as if I am unable to say my point (which I know many, many others also share) without it being censored or removed, then I do not want part of this place any more.

I removed the thread due to personal attacks on me.

If people don't want to respect any rules then let me know I will remove your account also as we have to have some discipline here.

If the first one wasn't (which I think it was), you definitely have made a personal attack now. I don't know why you choose to do this, as I have never made any personal attack against you, or been unprofessional towards you in any way.

All I am reminding people of is that if you make unprofessional and derogatory comments to me, for no reason whatsoever, then I am now likely to report these posts. I think it's fair moderators should give you a few warnings before any further action is taken.

I can no longer ignore it when I am attacked for no good reason.

Certainly losing members.

It's a shame really, especially some of the old one's, even though some come back under new identities it's not the same when you don't know their history.

Wondered what happened to Sean ( retired member 41 ), guess i missed all the drama though lol

Some people have regularly been making unconstructive, unprofessional, malicious and derogatory comments.

Up to now I have been ignoring these comments. However, I won't be ignoring them anymore, and will be reporting them to the forum moderators. If I were moderating, I think it's fair that someone making such comments is given a few warnings to improve their standards, before taking more decisive action.

The irony in your comments is spectacular.

I have also never made any personal attack against you, or been unprofessional towards you in any way; which is why when you accused me of doing so in the thread which got deleted was out of order.

Congratulations on now identifying when someone ACTUALLY is making a personal attack on you; I think you will find my comment in the last thread in comparison to the one here are worlds apart, and in hindsight you are able to see the comment in the last one was NOT a personal attack (the same as Diablo's wasn't either)

Thanks for the cc to my inbox too; just incase I missed your comments here

Respect for rules is obviously important for forum communities, but what about respect for the community and memberbase as a whole?

Accelerator's attitude seems to be that of "im not breaking any rules so tough shit". I just don't see how that kind of attitude to posting is conducive with a respectful forum community.

Indeed we all need to get aIong, rules should be a last resort.

I have asked Accelerator to stick to posting domain relevant threads from now on.

Well, I'm prepared to give you the benefit of the doubt re your comments, so I'm sure you'll be happy to keep it professional from now on.

There is a big difference between being a forum admin/moderator who polices the rules of a site and one that looks beyond the rules to find the route cause of most of the issues..................Ill give you two guesses who i personally see the route cause to most issues is.

Sometimes you have to have a bit of common sense to resolve a community problem, not look at it black and white.

Shame you didn't give me the benefit of the doubt in the first instance before reporting me to admin and trying to get me punished eh?

I wasn't unprofessional in my first comment; which is there the irony in your comments begins...

Well I think that is a good start, and long overdue, his threads are notorious for winding members up.

Sadly though, similar to the .uk market as a whole, the forum has lost what are considered the best contributors who have now either moved or, simply conduct their business quietly in the background. A large part of this being so little demand to buy/sell on here any more.

OK, so help me - any suggestions to revitalise the site? (apart from more moderation).

Perfectly summed up. I'm glad admin has advised accelerator to post more relevant stuff.

Also thanks for the PM's Accelerator, made me have a good chuckle, reminds me of my school days e.g "I'm telling the teacher on you"

Thanks for the constructive post.

I think with Nominet changes people are less likely to take membership there which used to be another active forum area, I know I am even considering not renewing my own Membership because all they do is bring in more checks and rules that don't benefit me.
