SEO PowerSuite Rank Tracker Google Issue

So I just went out and bought SEO Powersuite to try to lift my websites rankings and ran into an issue with the Rank Tracker Software when trying to add a new project.

The software uses your Google Adwords and Google Analytics accounts to get rankings for your website and keyword data for suggestions etc.

When I tried to enter my account details it kept failing and told me to go into my Google accounts online in a browser to fix the problem - not very helpful!

After some digging I found that I need to go to the Google web page:
https://www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureapps

and set "Access for less secure apps" to "Turn on" then it worked.

It's a lot to understand as so many options but I found a graphic on their homepage that gives you the sequence to follow to good rankings, that really helped me put some structure into what I am doing otherwise it's just 4 Apps and not sure what one does what.

I am starting with Site Analysis and Current Rankings to see where I am before I work on where I need to be

It's a great tool, just needs time to learn.
