Just ordered two netbooks from them and now they said they can't release the orders until I send them a copy of my payment card?

no same address in everything, they told me it's their company's policy I checked on their website, and it's only needed for chq payments. But I am paying by card!

It would be different if you were buying 20 laptops. I wouldnt be keen on sending images of my payment card to anyone or any company. Are you able to get the same price at other stores?

Escrow.com require this. I don't have problem with it, just the way things are getting these days with stolen credit card details.

price are not that much different online, just that they're Authorized ASUS Reseller I thought much more trustworthy

It will be the fact you have ordered two.

Laptops have one of the highest resale values for stolen goods and I bet they are being questioned by cc companies all the time about bogus orders.

I looked at that company before posting a link to it and they look totally genuine. But even I wouldn't send them an image. Give them the customer services number on the back of your card and ask them to call to confirm. If they don't I wouldn't give them my business.

Keep an eye out on the sales on Monday hopefully you will see some bargains and can leave their offer behind.

Don't your credit card company usually phone you up ? When I bought my last Dell, I got a call from Barclays asking if I had just ordered from dell, they explained that because I'd renewed my warranty a few months earlier it flagged up as suspect having had two larger than average transactions.

I'd suggest they get into the 21st Century and get Secure Code by Mastercard or Verified by Visa, this was introduced to ensure you have the cards non-electronic info AND the confirmed password.
