I was after domain which was gone drop today but domain get renewed afternoon by the same domainer who own couple of domains and renew them that way every time, my question is dose he gamble losing his domains by that way or just he had renewed them but Nominet took some time to update the status of domains?

Well it's not possible to know when a domain will drop apparently so it must be just luck. Probably just coincidence that he has ties with them. There was also a thing where people could renew a domain but then not have enough money/credit to cover it. Nominet wouldn't delete it on the expected date. Used to see one tagholder doing this with loads of domains deliberately to keep them visible in the droplist for a while and nominet don't seem to mind everyone wasting their tag quota chasing a domain that won't drop. So maybe these domains weren't going to drop anyway.
