Nominet Tag name

Was waiting for a company to transfer domains across to my tag when I got a email saying that my tag was not valid from the company.

On closer inspection looking at the whois for some reason the name of my tag seems to have been shortened because it is missing a R off the end of it.

was wondering if anyone else has had something like that happen to them only noticed it today.

Seems to only be a WHOIS display problem affecting tags with a length of 16 or greater. DAC & Nominet's List show correct tags.

Surely thats a hard coded page.. I doubt that has any reflection on the state of Nominets database.

I don't know how relevant this is, but when I first got my TAG, for first few months I could not transfer any domains to it from 1 and 1 (invalid TAG), however I could via 123 Reg, so had to move all my domains from 1 and 1 to 123 first before changing to my TAG. I guess 1 and 1 can't update their list of valid TAGs very often.

Keep it brief - 16+ character tags seem a bit wordy. :-0

No it is generated. Not for every request but regularly.
