This registration has been SUSPENDED question

Morning all,

I've seen that a co.uk's expiry date is 05-Oct-2022, however the registration status is:

Registered until expiry date.
*** This registration has been SUSPENDED. ***

I'm not sure why this is - any pointers?

Most likely registered to a dissolved company or similar. Nominet used to delete these early but seem to let them go until the end of the registration period these days.

More than likely, it all depends on why it has been suspended.

Nominet have in the past deleted domains before renewal for various reasons, maybe contact them and ask.

Nominet will also suspend domains out of sequence they think could be used for phishing. Is the last updated date the same as the registration date?

What happens in this scenario in terms of dropping - are they unable to renew until they update their address?

I've got one on my radar that has been like this for a good year or so that expires in a couple of months.
