Trademark usage, told to de-register

just recieved a very official letter from a well known designer house,
asking me to "de-register" my domain name within 10 days.

Should i be a cheeky git and offer it to them for £500 (which is below the DRS fee) or give it up?

Advise from people who've been in the same situation would be greatfully recieved, thanks.

Is it their company name? do they have a claim?

Cease and desist is the easy way out for them, I've got £500 before now, others you never hear from again. When they finally realise you provide a service then they're usually amicable.

And for proper catchers it's easier than for those sitting at the pc for 16 hours working on their behalf - even though they don't know you are yet.

I had one company try to claim TM on four characters they didn't even use on their website or letter head, they may have been the initials of their company name but to not even use them as such, bleeding cheeky, they do try it on.
