Not really sure  people seem to visit it quite regularly and click.

Selling it more on traffic James than genericness.

Best wishes

Maybe the old dears think it's sago rather than saga?!
:D

Sago is a powdery starch made from the processed pith found inside the trunks of the Sago Palm Metroxylon sagu. Sago forms a major staple food for the lowland peoples of New Guinea and the Moluccas.

Hi DB,

Seems like a reasonable offer.

I am fairly new to .co.uk names, so can I ask why your ebay ad mentions a
"transfer fee of £35.25 ... payable to nominet.org.uk"

I bought a .co.uk domain from someone on dnforum and we transferred it from his registrar (GoDaddy) to the one I use (RegisterFly) and there was no transfer fee payable.

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, I did a quick forum search but uncovered no information.

Thanks and regards,

Michael Merlin

It's the fee nominet charge to change 'ownership' of a (.uk) domain. If you didn't do this, then the domain is still registered to the seller.

Pushing a domain will give you control of it but the only way to change the actual registrant info is to pay the transfer fee and do the paperwork via Nominet. Until this is done the domain is not legally yours. If you check the whois for your domain I guess it will still be registered to the previous owner who in theory could take it back at any time.

Nominet holds the records for all .uk domains - if you want your name on the whois record then you have to pay nominet the money - it may have been that you seller forked out for it this time - check the whois record for you domain :)

Hi Michael,

Thank you for your interest;

By the sounds of it, you have not yet done the actual transfer (The legal Part). You will need to get in touch with the seller over on dnforum because unless you get the actual transfer paper, the name will remain in the sellers name.
The seller has simply moved the name away so it can be set up with your hosts etc.. (The actual legal transfer doesnt sound like its been done :???: so it will always remain legally there's/his)

As it says in my eBay listing, I can move the name to any TAG free of charge so you can set up the domain in your control panel over at RegisterFly etc.. you will have to let me know there TAG name? This all takes just a few minutes.

The legal part will be sent signed by me/myself, to transfer over the legal ownership of the domain name (So its actualy yours!)

As I also said in the listing, there is a fee payable to Nominet for transferring over the domain name, there highly priced admin fee of £35.25. (Greedy Buggers!)

I hope this helps :)
