what is the best way of transferring a domain to the new owners name; I am hosting and managing the domain for the owner on my re seller account

the domain extensions are .co.uk and .com

.co.uk requires you to complete the registrant transfer from your online services logon, .com is usually just an update in the control panel of your registrar.
