I've just noticed the following message on twitter.co.uk:
Please note: I have decided that it is time to try to sell this domain and I am, therefore, inviting "expressions of interest" at this stage to ascertain its value - [email protected]

Thought I'd point it out in case anyone on here is interested.

I guess he / she has realised that sitting on traffic is one thing, making money is another.

Wise decision IMO, although best be careful the way he markets that thing and any new buyer other than twitter.com better have a bona fide explanation for a use for it or they will lose their money and the name.

Yes I agree GW, although if it entered the right hands it could be both very useful for promoting other sites and profitable.

As for a figure on what the owner is expecting then I really have no idea.

One idea would be to get everyone on here to offer them really low offers ;) and lower expectations. Only joking, they are probably reading this

I'd expect a drs straight after a sale to be honest. In my opinion it's like one of those bank jobs where you actually steal too much money, if you just take one or two million then it's a normal bank job, take £30m and they'll dispatch all their resources for you.

Just my opinion on this one, too hot to touch.

You are probably right. There isn't really a strong reason for anyone to have the domain other than twitter.com themselves.

If the owner had a little sense, he'd be promoting the software he's supposed to have written back in 2005, and making no mention whatsoever of the .com site.

Is that based on experience? :)
