Wanted: Domain Appraisal UK Sail - website review

I bought a website this month, UK Sail - just finished giving it a re-design, it's a 10 year old directory site, you can check the google cache of the old site still

Ranks well for things like sailing, sailing clubs, sail, and a lot more - just got full control today and the new design live so won't have traffic stats for a few days yet - should be able to charge listing/review fees, has over 1000 links that I shall be going through and checking and then contacting as the sailing index is moving to a paid inclusion and review model

Nice site, I recall seeing it on your blog pre facelift.

Can I ask what software you use, e.g phplink dir?

Nah, just a $60 template and did all the html pages by hand Mally, I need to go through each link and verify it and email each one anyway so will pull up one page at a time when editing, so no software, just kept all pages exactly the same with the same url's

There are not that many pages so I am hapy enough to do it manually rather than mess about with a CMS for now.

The sites not loading for me at the moment ..... 6.55pm Sat .....

Seems like a good buy though, a good area to operate a website in as I'm sure there's a lot of advertising revenue available in the sector.

Hi,
the site didnt load for me. I refreshed it a couple of times and it then worked.

The site looks decent, and has lot going for it, age,trust, content etc. Im sure it will be a nice source of income for you with hopefully not too much work. Will be interesting to see the response you get from your bulk emailing and how willing people will be to pay.
