I wonder and only time will tell that customers/buyers only will buy a co.uk if it came with the .uk

I sold to an end user recently

Their offer was conditional that I "hadn't backordered the .uk"

Which wasn't technically the right question, but his point was clear.
 
Why would they do that not want the .uk for the sake of a fiver makes no sense to me especialy if they are have an online business.

Think Murray may mean that they did want the .uk, so wanted to make sure that it hadn't already been pre-ordered to take that option away from them. Not sure that is entirely possible, but made it clear they wanted both.

Sure Murray will correct me if that isn't what he meant.
