Urgent Help please wordpress issue with permalinks

Help please , /%postname%/ is no longer working for me so many of may indexed pages are not working on my site.

My site has been working perfectly !

all the pages are still there , but when i click on my link "show plates news"

my site is showing :-

http://www.show-plates.com/category/show-plates-news/ no pages load

where previously it was working fine as :-

http://www.show-plates.com/show-plates-news/ the pages are still there , if you copy and paste this link.

i have been in :-

settings / permalink settings.

i previosly and still have the setting to :-


custom structure :- /%postname%/

Wordpress is the latest version.

pluggins i have installed and activated:-


Askimet (spam protection)
fast secure contact form
iframe widget
w3 total cache
wordpress seo

all are the latest upto date version....


please help.

works fine for me, looks like you've added the 'no category base' plugin since posting

Your first link redirects to http://www.show-plates.com/show-plates-news/ for me, which has images down the left side and text down the right

p.s ive got it working correctly again.....though i am unsure what i did to make it work !

thank you for your fast reply boxfish i had a proper panic on !!!

seems to be another issue though....but many other people have said the same about the yoast plugin , it is not producing a xml site map.....so i'm trying to sort that as well , but at least the site is working....cheers again
