Using news websites feeds.

Hi All.

I am looking at building a news website and wondering what is peoples experiences doing this.

Is it acceptable to use local news stories website feeds or do you need permission to do this from each news website.

It's obviously situation dependant, but *generally*, if you're using the feed to link to the source, you're probably fine. If you're just posting the source as your own article, you're in far muddier waters.

For in-between situations the line will move accordingly - posting an excerpt with a link might be fine, posting the entire article probably isn't.
