Whilst testing, it's always good to check if the names are booked at the public catchers, if the name is then you know at a minimum you'll be up against 5/10 others + all the others after the name.

(The name you mentioned wasn't booked with us).

Its interesting that those public catchers allow the checking of whats booked (desired). If it was my platform I would close those loopholes quick smart. No need to reveal such info in this competitive arena.

But if the public catcher only allows a limit of one booking per domain then they don't really have a choice I suppose.

The problem is that if you don't let people check, then you will have double bookings.

Abolish bulk check tools. One at a time. And any check will load the booking if available (no deleting without contacting support).

But there is no difference whether someone either attempts to book a domain and gets a "this domain is already booked" message or whether they use a tool to check if it's already booked.

If you make it difficult to make a booking, someone else will pop up and make it easy taking your business away, so if you value your business you keep it simple.

Simple yes, the check loads the booking. Folks will be less likely to abuse knowing they have to commit to the booking first time.

People are already taking the business away, by checking and running their own script based on that garnered information.

I have to question if this would be legal as well ? I mean no confirmation, even amazons 1 click purchase isn't really one click, neither are ebays, there must be a reason for this, and my guess is its a legal one ?

Quite a few worthless domains get loaded seemingly.

I agree. I've known several members here who have caught tons of domains that have been booked by catch companies and never been able to sell them.

One very prominent member here does buy if he can domains that he had booked and let's his bookers have them.

Maybe a few catchers could post lists of unfulfilled orders and see if any domainers want to flip them. Everyone's a winner lol

I remember seeing about 2 years ago a member post lists of who caught what. If your reading do you still compile such lists? Dave I think?

I could prob knock a tool to run that against my dac Caz, I'll run yesterdays list once I write the tool, won't take too long
