webhost recommendation

starting a new project that will be based on SSL webspace. Currently use fasthosts, but they dont do domain level ssl (i.e. httpS://www.xxxx.co.uk), they only have https://vault10.secured-url.com

anyone have any recommendations on who to use? might need a ms sql db as well, not after the cheapest, just someone reliable.

The MS bit means windows hosting, can't help you there. If you can run it on linux I always recomment EvoHosting.co.uk.

Speak to m247 ltd. They have plenty of brands for hosting, open hosting.co.uk , uh-hosting.co.uk , prime hosting.com. I've been with them for 5 years now so they can sort you out for sure.

We have done SSL on Windows before (not a huge demand though), if you can work on MS SQL Express then we can host you (insufficient demand for full MS SQL as most customers wanting a database use MySQL).

What is the reason for SSL? If you are storing sensitive data you may be better off getting a dedicated so you have full control of the system.

SSL on windows is simple. Any host that can't do this should not be in the business.
