Has anyone had success with a website for sale banner on the website that you were selling.
Part of my thinks that it's best if you don't announce to everyone that the site is for sale, but then another part of me thinks that the more exposure the better and maybe the visitor is more likely to buy (in some cases).
I've had brokers working on selling StudentBooks.com for a while and they are getting offers that are either high domineer or low end user prices - I just need an offer that's a step up and then I'd be happy to let this site go.
So I just placed a banner next to the logo - not sure if it's the right way to go, or if it degrades the site in some way...
