I have spent quite a few days giving my bivvy website a makeover and setting up some affiliate links to angling sites etc, it now looks like this, your opinions on it so far?:

bivvy.org.uk

I still want to add some product images to fill up clear space at the bottom of some product pages, and I want to add that eBay Rover stuff to the site, hopefully my eBay affiliate registration wont get rejected this time, last time I tried to get it, I had a really bad single page on a different site, so that probably put them off letting me join, I might have more chance now. This was how the site looked previously before the makeover, I just unparked this other domain to stick the old site on again:

bivvybag.co.uk

I'll see how both domains get on once they are properly indexed, then I will switch the new content to the domain that ranks highest in the results on Google, I also have bivi.org.uk which is parked, I might do a seperate mini site for that one.

With the eBay Rover stuff, is it just a case of copy and pasting some eBay code in to a page, no php involved in it I hope?

Might as well use this topic rather than start a new one, could someone give their view/appraisal of:

guitarbass.co.uk

Using the Google keyword tool, there have been 201,000 searches per month for the last 12 months for the term, "guitar bass".

I would have thought that "bass guitar" would be a better option, but that term only gets 33,100 searches per month, I was surprised by that as well, also, if you Google "guitar bass", there are 31 million results, compared to only 8 million results for "bass guitar", is this worth more than reg fee?

Some quick thoughts on bivvy.org.uk:

- Overall design is pretty good.

- I would make the Bivvy.org.uk title smaller, compress it into a logo at top left, say about 260px wide. Perhaps make a graphic logo but keep the tagline, and maybe differentiate in colour. That will then leave space for a 468px banner top right in prime conversion space.

- Menu on left is good, but perhaps use triangular bullet in front of all items to increase differentiation. Perhaps change colour of menu to differentiate it from rest of page but it's pretty good as it is.

- Explain your site in a few bullet points in the main body of the home page. Within 3 to 5 seconds a user needs to know exactly what they can expect to find and why they should use your site rather than another.

- I would also consider using a triangular bullet in front of all your Click Heres.

- A blog with interesting stories and latest offers will breathe life into the site.
