Fed up to the back teeth of them already as a potential new client.

Domain management control panel is absolutely hopeless there in my opinion.

What is the sensible alternative to using that particular company?

Where else is there online that allows you to market your domains to a wide audience of business customers and has the option of putting your names in to auction too?

My criteria is an intuitively designed web site and control panel interface that makes the whole process as simple and as painless, trouble free as possible.

If there is one thing I cannot stand in life, it is overly complicated design and simple things that do not work as they should, there is simply no excuse for it, to have a web site that is difficult to navigate around and to get to where you need to be simply and easily.

What are the sensible alternatives please to Sedo, that still attracts high numbers of potential buyers please?

In anticipation.

Best regards.

Mark

well imho you should stick with the panel and learn it, because sedo is probably the biggest platform by some distance, and not so bad if you get used to it.

Mark,

just a thought, Have you tried namedrive, it may be what your after ?

Sedo's strength is the searchable database of names, however if your names are not strong enough to stand out be it by being great or having traffic then they will just sit there in a list.

If you are interested in a quicker sale host a simple one page website with contact info and state it is for sale, and do a quick end user marketing campaign (email/call etc).

If you require PPC parking then there are a few other companies out there who do that as well - as uglygit said, namedrive is a popular one.

Cheers UglyGit & Rob, appreciate very much your thoughts.

For the poster above that, hmmmmm what does one say? The reason for the thread my friend, is precisely because I am not happy with Sedo, hence the need for me to ask the question for an alternative. Why should I stick with a company that I am unhappy with?

Do not worry, the question is absolutely rhetorical.

Welcome to the forum btw.:rolleyes::)

Why should I stick with a company that I am unhappy with?

Because it pays more than others in my opinion. At the end of the day I and probably many others aren't in it to be happy, it's about the money.

There are plenty of companies I have to deal with through gritted teeth, but if I don't use them I end up hurting myself.

Sedo aren't one of them for me, they've done what they said when they said they would.

ice cream jelly foot stools

just try a noose or gun to the head instead of sedo...

there are a number of "other" parking options... but at the end of the day they are all using "your" domains to further their "business" yes the odd multi domained portfolio can make serious PP (parking profit) but there is nothing (at the mo!) that beats a developed, well generic coded, mini site / niche... website ;)

even if you spend 6 months part time working on one project and get it right you will end up with more than you will "earn" from sedo... in a year!

Agreed, Just to give an example, I'm nowhere near completing the development of my domains into full minisites yet (and less than half of them are even started), but I am already earning somewhere in the region of 5x what I was getting with them parked.
