What really is in a name

Don Mclean was on the BBC this morning and although I didn't think it was permitted he slipped out his domain address DonMclean.com
He's promoting his tour later in the year in the UK and doesn't seem to have a strong publicity machine like some of his countemporaries from the 70's, so I would imagine it's a hard trudge. I love his talent with a passion and was pleased to know he had a website at all, but the point I want to raise is just how invaluable is this simple domain name to someone like him.

A short easy to remember domain is invaluable when doing a radio interview! I've just taken a look at his website BTW.

It's funny, when you mentioned Don Mclean I thought of the guy who used to present Crackerjack (showing my age). Apparently his is 'Maclean'.

Meanwhile donmaclean.com doesn't have a website on it and was registered in 2000 by the BBC - those domainsquatting shysters!
