Hi All,

whatholiday co uk & what-holiday co uk

Completely undeveloped, but parked.

Not a generic but could become a nice holiday review site with an easily remembered name.

Would it be better as a review site (tripadvisor is pretty well established now) or simply as a listing of holidays in different places??

Views, suggestions for use and/or possible value (even if just reg fee) appreciated.

(accelerator - I'll do a RK review if you want, but I'll have to look a gadget or two over the weekend :) )

Many thanks, Luke

I would say whatholiday .co.uk is quite a strong domain. It's in the high revenue travel sector, and the domain has very good brandability. I can see experienced affiliates being interested as it is a very good name for a holiday site. For now I'm sticking with my travel deals name, but I expect there would be a fair amount of interest in this domain if marketed correctly, and I would be reasonably bullish about prospects.

Thanks accelerator for having a look at this. The name whatholiday parallels other whatthis and whatthat type of names, so it could be good if properly developed. (I think anything that's whichthis or whichthat is skating on thin ice given the breadth of the TM categories of the Which TM registration.)

I have been using Google's new keyword tool and am staggered at how virtually everything other than some .me.uk's have gone for anything with 'holiday' in it an more than a 1000 uk exacts pcm. It's a competitive market and an easily remembered brand-type domain, if you don't have a good generic, is essential I guess.

Good luck with your travel site. I like its look.
