Evening All,

Its and open question as it says in the title.

I'm going back to what I know after being approached by a couple of serious property investors. It would seem that the investment community is not that serious about (saving the planet) but theyre still hungry for bricks and mortar which I can understand having spent two thirds of my life there.

You'll find what its all about here Jim Land and Probate Mcllroy - Business Networking on Ecademy - Please have a look at my profile and give me some feedback, pm me if your interested or have any ideas.

But on this string really what I want to know is (how many on acorns) actually use this site??

Regards,

Jim.

I tried ecademy hohumm years ago, and got no answers worth having.

My problem is that I am a nerd - a polymath polyglot nerd, with very useful qualifications and experience, but I don't do "suit and polyspeak".

I'm never going to fit a "profile" and I know it. So I'm never going to get a job via conventional means without being considered as a "threat to their livelihood" by other employees.
I wasn't trying to sell any particular service or ability beyond my professional capacities in those days. Now I am old and wise, I realise that those extra abilities made me better than others, but not to the perception of my seniors.

I've been making a living for over ten years without a "proper job". Nobody wants a clever sod that they can't control.

If you want to use ecademy. limit your skills to those needed in a particular field. If you want to cover more than one field, talk to me and I will show you how to develop an "alter ego".

Face it, kiddo, this forum is populated by mavericks ... the norm is bucked ...

I'd never heard of the site until this thread, and I've been on the web forever.

But maybe that's just me.

Regards

Funny but I went to a meeting on thursday. Personally I do not see much value in it. I went about 8 years ago and felt the same. TBH I feel that many people just want free advice and have nothing much to offer. Lots of one man bands all looking for a deal or something on the cheap. Really of no use to me....

There are better events out there!!
