Whois lying about free domains today?

Hello,

I'm geting weird responses from uk whois since about an hour. It says that domain is free, and a few seconds later its back suspended. I got this response for many domains i'm monitoring. Anybody else is seeing this? My scripts worked flawlessly for along time.

Irritating isn't the word. Annoying is nearer the mark, I'm glad I'm not looking at domains this week.

How long does it usually take to get back to normal? It makes a mess with my scriptng system

Maybe Nominet have stooged WHOIS in a bid to disrupt certain scripts???

In which case they'll put it back once they've checked the results.

I noticed this happen with me today with a domain checking program i use.

I checked the same name on 123-reg and it was showing as gone.

I checked the name again in the program and it was showing as gone.

So its some sort of weird temporty glitch?

Anyone know whats causing it or why?

Its not a massive isssue at the mo, just irritating...

This was a very unusual Oracle error - fixed now.
