I can't comment further about the photos.

I'm not trying to pump you for inside information about the photo. I'm just laughingly curious about those two leaping in the air like that if there was no ball to challenge for. Just a funny scenario.

I can take it that there is skill involved but this is largely game of chance. If one could predict where is something which is not there, I guess that kind of skill could have been utilized in other places ;)

Judging by my own perception, it could be worth to play while there aren't many entries.. Since closest pick wins and the site seems to be at it's earliest stages, I guess chances must be quite good now.

But when there are thousands playing, even in a small 100x100 square you have 10,000 of possibilities to pick central spot. I am sure even pro footballers would have mixed opinions where this ball should be after all.

There never was a ball in the shot. Clever geeky people can find balls that are removed. Two professional referees and a linesman decide the ball position. And they don't even know who they are yet. Cheating is not possible at any level.

I was just about to wet my pants in excitement when I thought the ball has been removed. Its should be easy to gauge where the ball was but doing fairly simple analysis of the background image...looking for repeat patterns. The removal of the ball would have to be done with care, not giving any tell-tale info away.

Great site though, really like it. And the watch is a great watch. I have been really hung about my replacement Omega, I do fancy a seamaster or maybe an Oris, but this baby is a great watch.

I have had a crack at it, and am a 'pro' footballer, as in I play alot of 'pro' evo 09 on the ps3 ;)

So everyone can stand clear as there is only one winner here!

LOL :D

Thanks for the kind comment. Yes, it's a great watch. I was watching the 1964 Bond Goldfinger film the other day and Connery was wearing one (Submariner) in that. Rolex is my watch of choice and I had my first one; an 'Air King' model back in about 1980. I eventually traded it in for another model only to find out it was one of the rarest Rolex watches ever made as it had a date dial and bubble. They only made a handful of these with dates and apparently they're almost priceless to collectors. Ughh.

I think there's a very good chance that someone on Acorn will win this watch. Read vizzy's last post carefully ;)

I've just had a go, it's gotta be worth even a small gamble for the watch.

I bought a Rolex in a pub once for £1, didn't keep very good time.
For £5 of my hard earned, I hope this one does :)
