My desktop 'start' icon was in the bottom left hand corner of my screen with the tool tray along the bottom of the screen to the right. Now the 'start' icon is in the top right hand corner with the tray descending below it.

How do I move it back to the bottom left corner? I have no idea why it changed.

Thanks.

just drag it to the bottom

Good man.

Unfortunately the 'start' menu cascade has also completely changed from before (for example. Outlook is no longer listed.

The entire change was a mystery to me. I can't understand what caused the change to happen. How do I get the original 'start' menu back?

Thanks.

right mouse click on the start icon, the goto properties, then select classic or original menu

hope that helps...
