Would appreciate any advice

I want to search the world wide web but via the search engines I am restricted mostly to UK results.
If I search for say- shopfitters in America - I don't get shopfitters in America, no matter if I clear my cookies or go to G**gle.com or G**gle. jp G**gle.us etc. etc.
Does anyone else have a simple method which I am overlooking ?

or I find using the Ad Preview and Diagnosis in adwords even better for real localised results.

If you use firefox or chrome browsers then I can recommend this add on:

Just do your search in google then right click and choose, USA, UK, Australia, Canada & Ireland - then you'll get that countries results.
