The first one GoDaddy got first for me! lol. Some others I had at godaddy just after midday I then hand regged at 1and1 at 6pm.

It's been crazy all day. 1and1 were good up to about 7pm lmao.

Since then 123-reg have been instant. I just got webhosting.wales and glasses.wales.

Edit: WTF. I checked domains.wales at like midday, it wasn't showing as available anywhere. SF how did you get it? (And then I checked 1pm, 2pm etc kept retrying to reg it).

lol I booked that with them about 7pm and with GoDaddy about 6:30pm, about 10 mins ago I thought f*** this and went to 123-reg and they were both instant. lol.

Wow isn't that so unlike Nominet? I mean after all their decision of launching .wales and .cymru on a Sunday with no support over the phone available and whereby registrars are clearly having registry connectivity issues, just brilliant from Nominet.
