Writing a DRS document

To make it clear, my comments were defending the Registrants position. ;)

Good for you.

To make it clear, I'm after advice on how best to start a DRS (and many thanks to those who have given that), as one will certainly be filed, not armchair legal opinions on the outcome. Nominet will decide the outcome, it's out of any of our hands.

The feedback seems to be 'get a solicitor', and I have started that process.

Any other recommendations for solicitors that deal with domain disputes welcomed.

"Experts" decide the outcome, not Nominet.

Please let us know what the decision is when its all over, thanks.

It's difficult to give advice without knowing the name.

You've nothing to lose offering the registrant a grand for the name and saying you'd like to resolve the matter amicably and avoid a DRS. On decisions where the expert decided in the complainants favour very often a reasonable attempt has been made to purchase the domain.

You may be of the opinion that you shouldn't have to, but you've nothing to lose and will save your client money. No chance of the costs being less than a grand with solicitors and decision fees etc, and that just to find out if you win or lose.
