I have a number of affiliate sites with a bit of adsense and content widgets but I'd like to take it a step further and start working with some content feeds.

Do any of you guys have a good place to start where I look for information on incorporating data feeds into my site.

Thanks but it's about as clear as mud.

I have an XML file but I don't know what to do with it.

Ok thanks I've downloaded the files.

I think it's going to take a bit longer to sort out that I originally thought.

Thanks for your help.

There are also third party tools such as Price Tapestry, Affilistore etc etc. Or use the web services provided by buy.at and Awin.

Thanks people, I'll look at those suggestions and that link looks a bit easier to understand.

I come from a designer point of view and as soon as you ask a coding question all the coder guys start answering you in coding language, it may as well be Russian sometimes lol

Thanks for your help, I'll crack it eventually.

Affilistore is a good place to start, then move on to pricetapestry etc.

You will need to join the merchant if not already done so otherwise the awin links may bounce back to the refering page.

It will include all merchants which are in awins shopwindow ( http://www.icodes.co.uk/awin-shopwindow/ )

.. If you already have shopwindow you will be auto approved to all those merchants anyway, they may also auto approve you on clickthrough as it uses the same api (will have to confirm that though.. but you could test to see if they do)

We don't get anything from it all commission wise (100% of the clicks are yours), but we do get a 'powered by icodes' link at the bottom of each unit which is all we are wanting, plus some users like it so much they upgrade to the 'free subscription' (so they can use the codes / offers units with keywords) then to the 'paid subscription' to remove our links and get access to the webservices.

Basically it's just to help get more interest and our name plastered everywhere, and maybe some link juice from those who use the PHP snippets :)

We will shortly be upgrading it to narrow by merchant and category so you can get the products far more targeted.
