Wanted: Domain Appraisal youaskme.co.uk

Well, it must be almost completely worthless?

you ask me, I told you.

p.s. actually if you own the .com, re-design the site there might be something in it, something..

You have to calculate the value of the site, because I don't believe the underlying domain has any value divorced from what's sitting on it. However, a site that's making a consistent £100 a month with no effort* must be worth a few hundred pounds at least. Well done on making something out of a fallow asset.

*if there is no effort involved. If you're actually having to work on the site on an ongoing basis, then you need to divide the £100 by the number of hours you worked to get an average hourly rate. It better be high, otherwise why would anyone want to take it off your hands? (for example, £100 a month but 20 hours of work is a sub-minimum wage £5/hour)

I like the look and functionality of the site.

However when I looked at the "most popular" question which has 3 answers, which are copied and pasted from various Council websites so I would question is this for real?

Isn't it breaching Copyright to use Council website pages as answers?

When you say 2,000 visits per day, that is Unique IP hits? Seems a high number when you most popular question has 3 answers.

Your Top Members have answered 1 question each in the past 18 months.

Is it ripping Yahoo Answers content also?

Duplicate (and cloned) content like this greatly reduces the site worth also and should be stated in any sales thread you post here.

Duplicate (and cloned) content like this greatly reduces the site worth also and should be stated in any sales thread you post here.

Let's call it what it is. If the content really has been pirated from other sites, then it's not "duplicate" or "cloned" it's stolen.

The site is a waste of time, as a domain only it's Brandable but I don't see much value, try low to mid £xxx to an end user.

Given the lack of activity from 2000 UVs per day then either you have a high bounce rate or you bought traffic.

Where the authors of the answers get their answers from are not really my concern. However the weegy answers are sourced from other websites. So when weegy clone or steal answers given on youaskme.co.uk or any other site they steal from, should I sue or would I not stand a chance? So lets call it what it is?
Bounce rate is 55% - 60%
The site is not for sale.
