    Save MySQL, Sign the Petition!

The community version as you say is open source, and if Oracle were to kill it off (which I doubt), then you'll see other open source forks spin out of MySQL community edition since it's GPL/FOSS licences would allow that.

What do you use to manage your domains?

Cheers for the link, I've glanced at that one in the past but being a mac user quickly ruled it out (I probably should have mentioned the mac bit in the OP!). Must be more on here using something more than a jotted down list on the back of a beer mat? ;)

What do you use to manage your domains?

Just curious what everyone is using to keep track of all their domains? I used to use a spreadsheet set up with some basic formula on google docs for a while, but lately I've resorted to rolling my own web app to try and do a better job so I can be lazy and automate things like checking whois...

123-reg saving Credit card details the F@#*ers PART 2

If they are retaining card info then they should be PCI DSS compliant, don't think your local kebab shop would be ;) It is a bit shifty however with a user not being able to delete their card details, especially if there is no contractual recurring fee involved.

Need some help with domain resolving...

It looks like your ISP DNS servers are likely still holding a cached record for the domain, assuming the server it should be sitting on is 67.225.131.43. Doing a dig yields: ; <<>> DiG 9.4.3-P1 <<>> skydivingexperiences.co.uk ;; global options: printcmd ;; Got answer: ;; ->>HEADER<<- opcode...

    Screen resolution & widescreen format...

If your building a front end the de facto for fixed width at the moment appears to be ~960px, mainly because it divides nicely for 12/16/24 column layouts and fits on a screen 1024px wide. Regarding issues with positioning for fixed width layouts it might be worth using a css framework to...

Why Google and Bing are tying up with Social Networking site

I think it is a natural progression for the search engines to make. There's alot more people on social networks than there are folks who build websites or blog, being able to tap into the 'wisdom of the crowd' is potentially a very powerful thing (with the crowd including average joe, not just...

Mac keyboard on a PC anyone ?

You can use Sharpkeys (RandyRants: SharpKeys 3.0) which does some juju with the registry so you can then bind your extra keys like F13-F19 to actual keys, IIRC though a couple of the keys (notably the eject key aren't bindable). I have an apple keyboard on my KVM between my mac and xp box...
