How much do you rate 123-reg's Domain Backorder service for catching dropped .co.uk domains?

I need to know if it's worth spending that extra £15 to catch the domain I want or just sit up late and try myself. :???:

they check the name 3 times a day apparently.

It's useless if it's a name anybody else might want and if you did your once daily check for a domain listed, you'd still get it before their script ever did. I didn't ask for a refund as during a year it might come good but if they're going to offer a service they should at least try harder.

I don't think there will be a rush for the domain but I don't want to risk loosing it.
