The biggest crooks regarding domain registration.
DO NOT USE this company to register your co.uk or any other domains

Think i'm right in saying you have to pay for internal and external transfers.
Also UK registrants are on a different pay scale to the US site. About double.

Generally most people avoid where necessary.

I would say uk2.net though are the worst across the board.

I don't use them any more since I got my own TAG, but found them to be THE cheapest and never paid for any transfers and transferred about 50 to my TAG so would have noticed.

My only critisisms are that they are not very quick at registering domains, ie submit a request and it can be hours before shows up on whois and finding out how to transfer out can be tricky but easy enough once you've found the link.

Ive found 1and1 to be the cheapest and transfers etc are straight forward enough. However, they are soooooo slow. Registrations, tag changes etc etc.
Personally, I've now moved away from them to ukreg, who now are only a matter of pence more expensive. I just wish i could find a value uk provider that gives the option to mass change name servers as godaddy does.

I rang them and they told me you pay for internal transfers!!
Is this wrong?

Be grateful if anyone can let me know HOW you transfer internally or tagchange without paying. Only have about 5 names there, but want them out. cheers

Crooks

1and1 charged me for my domains tranfered to another company.
They charged me for domains cancelled.
I don't want to spend few hours here to write about the problems I had with them
The latest one is that I can not transfer sold .co.uk domain to the new owner
Every time I write to them for instruction they give me a different answers
So now I have 5 different sets of information on how to do it and none of them works

Watch out for them, they are cheap to lure you in but later on it will cost you dearly

I had a bad experience with them. I had been with them for a couple of years then the hosting broke and I fought them for a couple of months and also had the varying responses depending who you spoke to. They just didn't care. I know some peeps here have had good times with them but I think that actually they just haven't had a bad time yet... It was shocking.
