Nominet will release .UK after some changes to the consultation

Nominet will overhaul the way that domains are cancelled/released after non-renewal

Government will become involved in the running of Nominet and distribution of its profits.

Businesses and the general public will actively take up some of the New TLDs released by ICANN

Google will continue to strangle natural results leading to a larger PPC spend by businesses

Someone on Acorn will post a thread titled 2014 predictions in late December 2013

I predict all of my predictions will be wrong:

Nominet will listen to reason and give .co.uk registrants priority over anyone else in relation to .UK

Bing will become the number 1 search provider for online business owners, the general public will follow maybe in 2104/2015

Google will relent and put quality before profit

A new social network will explode onto the scene and leave all others in it's wake

I will make a fortune with one killer domain name that was free to reg

My roof will collapse under the weight of flying pigs
