I've asked Nominet for an indication of when the results will be known/published. No response as yet.

10% turnout with 50% of possible votes says it all.

One member one vote needs to be brought in.

Why? I supported Reza, but it makes no sense that a member with 1,000,000 names under management and one with 100 have the same voting power...

Why not? Don't we all pay the same membership fee?

Perhaps it would shake things up and make more people vote if everyone had the same value to their vote?

It doesn't reward the bigger registrars who contribute more in revenue to Nominet and therefore more towards the growth of the .uk domain name system. If Host Europe had the equivalent vote allocation to a member who has a single domain name on his/her individual tag that just wouldn't seem fair or proportionate.

Lots of members are indifferent and see the membership as a fee to gain the discounted registration rates only. I don't imagine a change in voting allocation would suddenly encourage the vast majority to suddenly take an interest in Nominet policy, the member forum and related activities. If it affected their discount they might!

Is it possible to see the number of members who voted for each candidate (not which members, just the total number of them) in each stage?

One member one vote would also be a recipe for massive sock-puppetry

Perhaps one member one vote is too simplistic, however the current setup does seem as flawed.

One member one election - almost :)

It depends who you think ought to 'control' Nominet, is it the ISPs or the registrants who it ought to be run for?

One domain one vote perhaps? That would soon 'raise industry standards' ;)
