Hi all

Are any of you investing in virtual reality names?

Seems to be all the buzz everywhere else i look :)

Ha ... I regged virtualreality.org.uk about 10 years ago but was way too early and dropped it a few years ago.

I expect most of the very strong premium virtual reality domains are long, long gone. I don't want to reg non-premium as they are unlikely to sell. It's all too easy to get carried away on the next tech big thing, but it's not the generic domains that sell here, it's those suited for branding.

2016 should be an amazing year for VR though.

I registered virtualtrip.co.uk & virtualtrips.co.uk after reading about virtual school trips last year

Looks like I picked it up don't even remember doing so.

Anyone tried Google cardboard yet not a bad experience for under a tenner will be interesting to see what oculus and the other big players headsets are like when they come out.

I noticed you had it now :) VR is about to explode in 2016, so timing is now on your side.

Registered virtualrealityheadsets co.uk last year but no interest as of yet.

Seems I also own virtual-reality.co.uk just went into suspension

Lets hope the tech takes off

I think AR is looking more promising as a 2016 tech, VR is a few years away.

I've got:

vrheadset.co.uk
virtualrealityheadset.co.uk (and .net)

Not sure what to expect to be honest, I had one enquiry for the .net which didn't come to anything).

I've also taken a punt on:

hologlasses.co.uk

Hoping that Microsoft HoloLens kicks off a holo-revolution, considering "augmented reality" is a hell of a clunky term for mass market.

I do like Murray's virtualtrips though, definitely can see potential in that.

That's not what I'm hearing. 2016 is set to be virtual reality year, take a look at Robert Scoble on Facebook as he's keeping up with it all.

I have

VRImage / co uk
VRStockphoto / co uk
VRStockPhotos / co uk
MobileVR / uk
VRGame / uk
360Sport / co uk
360Sport / uk
HMDs / co / uk
VRVideo / uk
360Gaming / co / uk
360Gaming / uk

I don't plan on buying any more just yet, I'll sit on these and see how VR pans out

In case anyone missed it, there was a big Microsoft #Windows10devices presentation last week, which had a demo of HoloLens and augmented reality gaming using the walls of your home. It was pretty cool.
