Awstats compared to getclicky and others

Hi,

i use getclicky.com for my stats as it came highly recommended. It shows live stats and live visitor progress. However, i just cross referenced my awstats built in log files and there are MANY more search terms in google,yahoo and msn showing in awstats than there are in getclicky.

My question is, why would this be the case? Does anyone have history of seeing inflated Awstats stats compared to other stats programs.

i am now a bit confused as to which stats are the most reliable.

Hey Rob,

My host provides two clients - AWStats and Webalizer - that come up with different results. As far as I can tell, the difference seems to be in the fact that the programs measure slightly different things rather than measuring the same things differently.

Sounds obvious, but have you checked you're comparing like with like? Puzzled me for months before I realised what was going on.
