Best bank account for USD transfers

Hi All,

Anyone got any experience with getting best rates into a bank account from the USA ? Lloyds seem to be 2% which adds up pretty quickly for the purpose we need it for. Need to be into a bank account rather than an FX broker etc.

Any advice appreciated

Tried Revolut? No fees for transferring in or out in dollars, then just convert to pounds and withdraw for free. Might not have the best exchange rate, not sure, but the transfers cost nothing as far as I know.

Looks good. Just discovered transferwise who i used a couple years back now do bank acounts also. They use interbank exchange rates so it seems really good value.

*edit* looks like 0.6 % fees and transfer at interbank rate. Thats for usd/gbp

I would be tempted to use either N26 account which can link to Transfer wise or go direct with Transferwise

Monzo also connects with transferwise and doesn't charge you fees to withdraw foreign currency as cash if you use your debit card. Have been using Monzo for a couple of years now and highly recommend it - so much so I invested in their recent crowdfund. They raised £20m in under 3 hours, not bad!
