Hi Acorn,

We are trying to make Acorn registration better. Hence we are starting with small UI UX updates.

Such as, adding some more fields (website, company name, and my favourite: Preferred Domain Registrar) that helps us determine if a user is a spam > so that forum remains clean.

We are also highlighting notices and changing notice texts so that it is better visible for users and users can easily reach us. Also, there is "Support" tab on the top navigation to reach us, and get support from us.

The image below shows the support system. You can post a thread (that will be between you and us only), and ask for help and support. We hope to help you with your queries and concerns with this update :D

Great job!!

A little background - every 2nd day we have a support post opened by new members at DNForum, and few new account signups that were declined (mostly due to spammy looks) got sorted out.

So, we decided that Acorn, of course, also would benefit from a better support system, especially for new users who are trying to sign up and have some difficulties in this process.

Also, the spammers get gradually more advanced and it is difficult sometimes to tell who is who > additional fields like "Preferred Domain Registrar" helps us moderating new signups much more efficiently.

The green colour for notices is also to make sure that the new user sees this notice :) .. and, that his/her account will get approved, and what he/she should do if the account doesn't get approved.

.. the changes seem to be quite basic :) .. there was planing and few friendly arguments over 2-3 days, and more tests till we both agreed with each other which should be the best possible uer experience for a new signup :) .. and email checking/testing..

Great job, @Admin!!

p.s. Prashanna, please also check the auto-message so it includes the link to the Introductions section :) Thank you
